Wyatt looked at me, shocked, from beneath his lashes.
Bingo! I had hit my point right!
I had put on the sexiest dress in my closet. It was a red one. Yet elegant enough to wear in the office.
“You look exceptionally pretty today Ms. Gigi.” The king finally shut the book in hand and looked at me.
“Your compliment has elaborated my looks even more, Sir.” I said smiling.
Wyatt smiled at me.
“Well, I was planning to go alone. But now considering how well you look, I would love to take you along. Would you mind to accompany me in the kingdom survey, Ms. Gigi?” He asked.
“I’d be delighted to, Sir.” I replied.
“It’s beautiful.” I said. We, me and Wyatt, had entered the forest. What had delighted me the most was the garden that the king had made after a couple of miles from the forest. We had been driving in a gypsy for it was the only one vehicle which could be driven on this raw forest land..
“I would doubt it. You are the most beautiful thing I have ever seen.” Wyatt commented.
“That was very typical, Sir.” I said chuckling.
“Gigi, we are outside the office. I would prefer you calling me Wyatt here.”
“That would be too awkward, considering your position, your highness.” I replied with a sly smile.
“I thought this was 21st century.” He said.
“Hmm. So Wyatt.”
I rested my head on his shoulder while he drove. He rested his head on mine.
“I’m afraid this closeness has smitten me, Gigi.” He commented.
I looked at him and casted a smile. I placed a soft kiss on his neck. His breath hitched.
Wyatt stepped on the break, haulting the gypsy to a speed of zero.
He turned to me. He stared into my eyes, as if wanting to know what I felt, what I wanted to do.
He slowly moved closer, my breathing pace increased. Wyatt slowly kissed my lips. Trapped my upper lip into his. We moved at the same pace and then the kiss intensified.
Wyatt slipped his tongue into my mouth. Crouched into the depths, teased my tongue. I slid my tongue into his mouth too. Drawing in the scent of his mouth.
We finally broke away, Wyatt still staring into my eyes. He smiled at me. He jumped out of the vehicle.
“If you’d.” Wyatt said offering his hand to me.
“I can jump on my own, Wyatt.” I commented and jumped down.
Wyatt headed me towards the garden we had seen earlier. He sat on the grass that had blanketed the ground and then laid back.
I moved closer. Wyatt patted the place beside him. I smiled and slept on the ground, resting my head on his chest. He kissed my forehead.
“Why are you with Tony?” Wyatt asked.
“He made me vampire.” I replied.
“Why would he do that?”
“I wanted to. My love was a vampire. I wanted to become one to get him.”
Wyatt’s breath hitched, “Your love?” He asked.
“My former love.” I replied smiling.
He pressed another kiss on my forehead.
I comforted into his embrace and closed my eyes. His confinement delighted me. His confinement full with ideas of human damnation and cruelty.
“You know how to sing?” I asked.
“I’m an awful singer.”
“Dance?” I asked.
He chuckled. “I can dance with you. Couple dance.”
I lifted my head from his chest. “I’m not speaking daaance. I’m asking if you can dance.”
“What do you mean?”
“Bollywood. The bollywood dance.”
“Oh. If you can teach me.” I said.
I giggled and stood on my feet.
“Let’s dance.” I said.
“Where had you been all day long?” Tony asked as I entered into chamber.
He had been sitting on the couch face covered behind the book he read, ‘Soul Mate’ the title read.
I could feel a lump formed inside my throat and a knot killed my stomach. I felt miserable, not due to the fact that I couldn’t accept Tony but due to the love he had for me, no matter what.
‘I’m not afraid of slap, sir. I’m afraid of love.’ A famous person had quoted once. What about the love which felt like a slap but lulled you no matter what? Terrible.
“I was with Wyatt. We were surveying the lands, or more precisely roaming and dancing.” I stated.
Tony’s eyes fell onto the book which he had placed on the centre table earlier. Honestly, at that time I felt I would throw up. But thanks to the creature, which I had been turned to, that I couldn’t puke.
“Do you love him?” He asked.
“Love? Are you serious Tony? I just met him about a week ago or maybe a few days more than that if not less. He’s attractive, I only like him and that too just a bit.” I moved to the couch resting beside him. The cloth on the couch had grown hot and irritating, maybe it had been infected by Tony.
“Why don’t you move on, Tony?” I said.
I jerked his head towards me. Watching me with anxiety and hospitality yet with love filled in.
“You.are.my.soul.mate.Gigi. You know I cannot move on from you.” He said, well that wasn’t really what a statement would sound.
I smiled. A fragment from the past just popped up in my mind. “Weeks back Tony, you had called an idiot because I had risked my life to get my love.” He was quite, absolutely silent.
“It’s all useless Tony. I risked my life, turned into an entirely different creature, to get my love. What did it give me back? Nothing. It’s better you move on then go after the things which you cannot attain. The only desire you should have is the desire to survive, to live for yourself. Love and lust comes later.” I told.
“I don’t like you like this, Gigi.” He commented.
I squeaked out a laugh. “It has taken me years, Tony. Years of misery, hopelessness and tragedy to get to this. You will realise it soon. Confidence, strength and humor is the only way to get through this. You like it or not, I’m gonna be this way for if I change the world will change me again.”
“I love you more than anyone can, Gigi. So much.” He said attempting to hide the misery.
I shook my head. “So many intense talks today, Tony. I’m exhausted. Gimme a break.”
He smiled at me. “That’s what I’m talking about.”
I giggled. “Maybe I should go get a bath.”
“You should, you stink.” Tony commented.
“Oh god! I missed those cold comments so much!”
I stood up from the couch and started towards my room. “You know, I like Wyatt. But maybe I like you more Tony.” I winked at him and left.
“So you are planning to break the gates of the vampire meadows and rule the humans. How do you do that?” I asked. My head rested Wyatt’s chest as we both relaxed on the couch in the living room of his Chambers.
Royal blue walls, red curtains, massive lighting and a huge library, everything you wouldn’t imagine of if you are at a vampire’s place, all of it elaborated Wyatt’s chamber which was a palace in itself.
“Well expanding our army will help a lot.” Wyatt replied.
“You mean you will bite humans. Fine. How do you plan to escape from sunlight?”
“That’s where your friend Tony helps. He’s among the few vampires who can endure sunlight. Everyone he bites would possess the power. We’ll make an army with his poison, we’ll inject it in ourselves. And that’s how vampires overcome their greatest weakness.” Wyatt said.
“Smart. But, Billions of humans live in this world. What if they all know your truth and get against you?”
“That’s where the immortal stone helps,” ah I didn’t expect the mention of immortal stone, “it’s supernatural powers can slaughter an entire city.”
“Immortal stone?” I acted.
“Oh, of course you wouldn’t know. Immortal stone was made from the powers of the gratest vampires and immortals that existed at that time. Those powers we have forgotten. The possessor of the immortal stone shall rule the world, the ancient vampire saga says.”
“Wow! I’d like to see it.” I urged.
“The stone chooses it’s owner, Gigi. I, being the king, can access to some of it’s powers for limited time. I’m afraid it can deflect you. You’ll be hurt.”
“Seeing a power so mighty is worth some puny bruises. Please, Wyatt, I urge. Have I asked you for anything till now?”
Wyatt smiled at me and kissed my head.
“Whatever you wish.” He said.
